My name is Carly Storer and I will be the Blue group teacher, Nominated Supervisor and Education Leader at North Brighton Kindergarten in 2016. I am quite excited to be returning to North Brighton! I was a teacher and Director/ Educational leader here from 2006-2011, then took some time off for family. During my time away, I have worked at the City of Kingston with a four year old group, and I have also been doing some volunteer work with ArtPlay in the city. I strongly believe that relationships are at the core of what we do as teachers in the early years. Once we build a warm and trusting relationship with children and their families, then we can work with the children to build upon their current skills and knowledge. The warm and caring relationships are particularly important for three year olds and Marg and I will be really prioritising the establishment of these important connections. I have a passion for encouraging and nurturing creativity and curiosity in children. These two dispositions will give children a valuable attitude toward learning that will benefit them now and into the future.

Outside of work, I enjoy getting out and about with my daughter, we particularly enjoy heading into the city and going to the museum, art galleries and of course ArtPlay!
