Red Group Educator
One of the reasons I began a career in kindergarten teaching was because of the wonderful sense of community we became part of when children were pre-schoolers. As a parent I valued the positive learning experience of my children in their early years and felt it would be rewarding work.
For seven years I was fortunate enough to be the co-educator to two four- year old kindergarten groups before completing a degree in Early Childhood Studies at Monash University in 2014. In 2015 I undertook my first teaching role to a three and four- year old kinder group (completing a maternity leave position).
I remain motivated to providing a positive learning experience for the children I am privileged to encounter as they begin their formal education. I believe an encouraging environment is more likely to foster confidence and an ‘I can do it ‘ attitude, which will in turn create life-long learners.
I am a proud mother of three children. I enjoy keeping fit, walking my dog, reading and spending time with my immediate and extended family.
